When our Editorial Consultant asked me to write something about my reason for starting this magazine, I thought… “Are you kidding me?” that is the easiest thing anyone has ever asked me to do in my life. But, I will not bore you with some long convoluted explanation. The simple answer is I am in a ‘love affair” with my culture!
This affair has been going on for over 40 years and she has cultivated a pride in me that when I think about her… all I can do is smile. I love her beauty and warmth, the rich and diverse heritage she shares, the way she cooks, the music she plays, her dancing style (especially when she is getting on bad, bad, bad), and above all, I love you… her family and friends.
Island Vibes Magazine is my passion and I hope you come to enjoy reading about what’s going on with my “Sweetie” as much as I enjoy bringing her essence to you.
