NEW YORK – August 16, 2011 – On Saturday, August 13, the “Caribbean Summer Concert Series” kicked off with a full-day of outdoor family fun and entertainment at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey. The summer music event drew over 5,000 people to the amusement park, some traveling from cities as far as Boston and Virginia, to join other park patrons in an exciting day of Six Flags’ famed rides and attractions, including the Wild Safari.

Event goers were also treated to an evening of sizzling LIVE performances from some of today’s top reggae performers. Smooth Jamaican crooner Wayne Wonder was the opening act of the night, performing signature hits that his fans know and love him for! Wonder even performed classic songs like “Bonifide Love,” “Forever Young,” and “Searching.” Legendary singer/songwriter and reggae icon Beres Hammond followed up with a rock-solid LIVE performance lasting over an hour to a captivated audience. Hundreds of fans sang along to Hammond’s popular tunes, including “Rockaway,” “Tempted To Touch,” and “I Feel Good.” The show’s headliner blew away the crowd with an uninterrupted, superlative performance, exiting the stage to thunderous applause.

Conscious reggae and roots artist, Anthony B closed out the night with a red-hot performance that made the crowd stand to their feet. With an infectious stage presence and endless energy, Anthony B delivered such crowd favorites like “Raid the Barn,” and selections from his new CD, “Rasta Love”, including “Blame It On Yourself,” and “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love.” Also slated to perform was reggae artist, Ky-Mani Marley, however due to unexpected circumstances, he was unable to attend. Despite his absence, reggae music lovers still enjoyed a fun-filled day full of music and outdoor entertainment.
