Que Linda

Island Vibes Magazine’s Que Linda Model for March is Shanette Mendoza. She currently lives in Trinidad where she was born and raised. Shanette is an experienced model who also works as a call center agent for one of the largest cellular companies in the Caribbean. In her free time and when she is not modeling, she enjoys playing the steel pan and spending time with her family. This year, she hopes to do more traveling, both as a model and for personal adventure. Shanette’s older Sister, who recently passed away, has been a big inspiration on her life and is someone she admires.

Shanette started modeling in her late teens, and has been featured in clothing ads for Micle’s Clothing, Digicel ads, and more. In modeling, her biggest accomplishment and most memorable experience came from her recent work with Synergy TV. With Synergy TV, she competed and was featured on their season three Supermodel television show. Shanette states this was most memorable because of the modeling experience she gained, the people she met, and the fun she had in being a part of this production.

In the future, Shanette plans to finish her degree in HR Management. As she continues to model, she would like to gain more international modeling assignments and exposure. In 10 years, she hopes to have a successful business of her own and has a great interest in creating and providing opportunities within Trinidad. Her goal is to assist in the development and the advancement of the country.
