Island Vibes Magazine’s Que Linda Model for December / January is Shennekia Grimshaw. Shennekia resides in the Takoma Park, MD area, where she was born and raised. Her parents are from the Caribbean Islands of Trinidad and Tobago. Shennekia attends CSB School of Broadcasting, majoring in Journalism and Fashion Marketing. While continuously seeking modeling and broadcasting opportunities, she currently works as a loan processor at a mortgage company and is also a sales specialist. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her friends, shopping, and dancing.

Shennekia’s modeling career has been full of jobs that include promotional work for car shows, events, and corporate sponsors. She also has modeled in numerous fashion shows and has had various print assignments. Some of Shennekia’s biggest accomplishments include competing in the 2004 Miss Maryland Pageant, winning DC’s Blackmen’s Magazine Swimsuit Competition, and recently being selected to host a major magazine release party in NJ. She also competed in the Miss Caribbean Metro Pageant.

In the near future, Shennekia has plans to finish her schooling. Additionally, she has an interest to further her modeling career and possibly do some acting down the road. Long term, she would like to have a major role in the Entertainment industry as a successful broadcaster or TV host, living in Miami or LA.
